Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported the effective performance of Ukraine’s air defense overnight, which successfully destroyed 14 Russian missiles. At the same time, he announced a successful airstrike on Russian targets using Ukrainian “Long Neptune” missiles. The strike targeted specific locations in Russian territory in response to ongoing attacks by Russian forces.

According to the president, Patriot systems and other air defense assets performed effectively during the night. He specified that two aeroballistic and six ballistic missiles were intercepted and emphasized that Ukraine will continue to strengthen this aspect of its defense, including through systems capable of intercepting ballistic missiles.

President Volodymyr Zelensky also highlighted Ukrainian strikes on enemy targets.

“Last night, our forces successfully employed ‘Long Neptune’ missiles against designated targets in Russian territory. This is our fully justified response to ongoing Russian terror,” Zelensky stated. “Ukrainian missiles now deliver more tangible and precise results almost every month.”

Zelensky also noted that he instructed diplomatic channels to inform international partners as quickly and thoroughly as possible about Russian attacks. “Russia continues its terror against Ukrainian cities and civilian infrastructure. Key targets last night included residential areas in Kyiv and energy facilities,” the Ukrainian president summarized.

Sources from Suspilne citing the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) reported that Ukrainian forces conducted an airstrike overnight on the port of Novorossiysk, Russia’s second-largest oil export hub. The attack damaged terminal infrastructure, including pipelines and pumping stations, causing significant financial losses. Ukrainian forces also struck S-300 and S-400 air defense positions at military unit 1537, triggering detonations upon impact.

Recently, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on its Facebook page successful strikes against several dozen targets in Russian territory and temporarily occupied areas of Ukraine. In Crimea, these included the “Morskoy Oil Terminal” fuel storage facility, a helicopter parking area, UAV storage and preparation sites at Kirovske airfield, and an air defense radar station near Yevpatoria.

Strikes were also carried out on an oil depot near Berdyansk, as well as on forward command posts of the Russian 5th Combined Arms Army and the 127th Motorized Rifle Division in the temporarily occupied territory of Zaporizhzhia region. These attacks employed strike drones, rocket-propelled drones, and various types of missiles, including domestically developed systems such as the “Flamingo,” “Bars,” and “Lyutyi.”
