Combat operations aimed at disrupting the fuel logistics of Russian occupation forces in Crimea are continuing in the waters of the Sea of Azov. The “Kairos” unit of the 414th Separate Brigade “Birds of Madyar” reported a large-scale nighttime operation during which tankers belonging to Russia’s shadow fleet were hit on an industrial scale.

According to the unit’s statement, on the night of July 7, Ukrainian drones attacked eight fuel tankers, as well as one dry cargo ship and one ferry. The report states that the tankers were damaged and caught fire.

The unit emphasized that all affected tankers, which were transporting fuel to the temporarily occupied territory of Crimea, are already subject to international sanctions. According to its information, the vessels have a deadweight of approximately 7,000 tonnes, are around 140 meters long, and were built between 2006 and 2012. The drones reportedly struck vessels including the “Venera-3”, “Sanar-1”, “Sanar-17”, “Klimena”, “Teti”, “Alexey Savrasov”, and “Penelope” tankers. The name of the eighth tanker is still being clarified.

Separately, operators from the 427th Separate Unmanned Systems Brigade “Rarog” struck a dry cargo vessel in the waters of the Sea of Azov, while operators from the 1st Separate Center hit a ferry in the waters of temporarily occupied Crimea. The Unmanned Systems Forces noted that disrupting the enemy’s maritime logistics complicates the supply of fuel and lubricants required to support the operations of the Russian military grouping.

Also today, the official Facebook page of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported successful strikes against a number of important enemy facilities. In particular, the attack targeted the “Kremniy EL Group” JSC enterprise in Bryansk, one of Russia’s leading manufacturers of microelectronics. The company produces microchips, power semiconductor devices, and electronic components used in control systems, communications, electronic warfare systems, as well as various types of Russian military equipment. The extent of the damage and the results of the strike are still being assessed.

The “Bryansk” plant was also targeted. It is an important part of Russia’s military-industrial complex, as the facility produces gunpowder, explosives, and rocket fuel components that are later used in ammunition and missile systems. Four explosions were recorded in the area of the enterprise, while the extent of the damage is currently being assessed. In addition, the Defense Forces of Ukraine struck the fuel depot of the “Belgorod” airfield. The scale of the damage is also being clarified.
