As part of an ongoing campaign aimed at reducing the military-economic capabilities of Russian forces, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out a successful strike on the Bryansk-based microelectronics facility “Kremniy El.” The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported the operation on their official Facebook. page. The plant was targeted using air-launched Storm Shadow missiles.

The “Kremniy El” facility is a critical part of the production chain supporting the manufacture of Russian precision-guided weaponry. The plant specializes in the production of discrete semiconductor components and integrated circuits, which effectively serve as the “brain” and “nervous system” of modern weapons systems. Its products are used in missiles for the Iskander tactical missile system, the Pantsir air defense system, as well as in radar, electronic warfare equipment, and Russian unmanned aerial vehicles.

According to available information, the target was successfully struck, and the plant’s production capabilities sustained significant damage. The exact extent of the losses is still being assessed. The General Staff noted that aerial reconnaissance in the area of the operation was conducted by a unit of the separate drone regiment “Raid.”

“The commander just briefed me on a recently conducted operation. It was successful, by the way. The Bryansk plant was struck. This facility produced the guidance systems for all types of Russian missiles. I can only congratulate our Armed Forces,” said Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during a briefing with journalists.

This is not the first strike on the plant since the beginning of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine. According to Telegram channels, at least four missile impacts were recorded during this operation. The governor of Bryansk Oblast reported on his Telegram channel that six people were killed and 37 injured.
