Ukrainian Unmanned Systems Forces reported a successful engagement against an “Alligator.” According to the SBS Facebook page, operators destroyed a Russian Kamov Ka-52 “Alligator” using a fiber-optic FPV drone. The final moments of the helicopter were captured on video, which was shared by the Commander of the Ukrainian Unmanned Systems Forces, Robert “Madyar” Brodie.

As noted on his Telegram channel, “Madyar,” the enemy Kamov Ka-52 was engaged near the settlement of Nadiivka in the Donetsk Oblast by pilots of the “Baltika” crew from the 1st Battalion “Highland Predators” of the 59th Separate Assault Unmanned Systems Brigade. This marks the second helicopter destroyed by the 59th Brigade.
The Ka-52 “Alligator” is a modern reconnaissance and attack helicopter used for terrain reconnaissance, target designation, and coordination of combat helicopter operations. It serves as a command aircraft for army aviation and is capable of engaging armored vehicles, personnel, and aerial targets. Its approximate cost is around $16 million, while the drone used to destroy it is significantly less expensive.
Following the emergency landing, the crew attempted to evacuate but was quickly located and neutralized by drone operators from the 1st Battalion of the 414th Brigade “Madyar’s Birds.”
Previously, reports highlighted another successful operation in which a Russian Raptor-class patrol boat was attacked while conducting patrol and covering landing units in temporarily occupied Crimea. The strike was carried out using FP-1 drones. A direct hit caused a fire onboard, and the damage ultimately led to the vessel sinking.
In recent days, Ukrainian Special Operations Forces also conducted a series of Middle Strike operations. These strikes targeted a base of the classified Russian drone technology center “Rubikon” in occupied Donetsk, as well as a command element for the unit and a coordination center supporting the operations of enemy unmanned systems.
