During the night, drones operated by the SBU’s Alfa Special Operations Center carried out several strikes on Russian military facilities in Crimea. According to reports, the drones hit production workshops of the JSC Yevpatoria Aircraft Repair Plant. This was not the first attack on the facility. Photos circulating online recently showed damage from Ukrainian drone strikes that occurred in late February, when workshops No. 1 and No. 2 were reportedly affected. Telegram channels previously reported that these buildings had been used for helicopter maintenance but are now used for the storage and servicing of drones such as the Forpost and Orion.

Footage also captured a Be-12 “Chaika” aircraft, although it was likely damaged earlier, reportedly during strikes that occurred in the autumn of last year.

In addition, Alfa drones struck locations used for the deployment of equipment and personnel in the settlement of Pushkine, located near the Dzhankoi airfield. According to preliminary reports, the attack resulted in damage to:

  • Two Pantsir-S2 anti-aircraft missile and gun systems
  • A Mohajer-6 UAV on the airfield
  • A ZU-23 anti-aircraft gun mounted on a truck
  • Two fuel tanker trucks
  • A ground control station for the Forpost UAV system

“Such special operations in Crimea are aimed at destroying military infrastructure that Russia uses for attacks on Ukraine,” the Alfa unit said in a statement on its Facebook page. “Ukrainian forces are deliberately targeting air defense systems, drones, and enemy equipment in order to reduce their ability to protect bases and conduct strikes against Ukrainian cities.”

The “Prymara” special unit of Ukraine’s Defense Intelligence (HUR) also reported a number of successful operations during February. Over the past month, the unit carried out several strikes against Russian naval vessels, boats, and aviation assets in temporarily occupied Crimea. According to the report, reconnaissance drones struck:

  • A Project 22460 patrol ship “Okhotnik”
  • A radar station from an S-400 air defense system
  • A Forpost UAV
  • A Project 1496M1 sea tug
  • A Project 16640 vessel
  • A Project 02510 BK-16 landing craft
  • A Ka-27 helicopter
