Ukrainian Su-27 Pilot of the 39th Tactical Aviation Brigade Killed During Combat Mission in Zaporizhzhia Sector

On September 11, at around 1:30 p.m., Su-27 fighter pilot Major Oleksandr Borovyk of the 39th Tactical Aviation Brigade was killed while carrying out a combat mission in the Zaporizhzhia sector. He was 30 years old.

According to the official Facebook page of the 39th Tactical Aviation Brigade, an investigation is currently underway to determine the causes and circumstances of the tragedy. The brigade also extended its deepest condolences to Oleksandr’s family and loved ones. Eternal memory to the Hero!

Last month, the Ukrainian Air Force also reported the death of MiG-29 fighter pilot Major Serhii Bondar. The incident occurred after completing a combat mission during landing. The causes and circumstances of the crash are still under investigation.
