Throughout yesterday and into the night of May 15, 2026, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out strikes against a number of key assets belonging to Russian occupation forces. According to Ukrainian sources, the attacks targeted the Ryazan Oil Refinery, naval vessels, a Beriev Be-200 Altair aircraft, a helicopter, as well as ammunition depots and radar systems. During the night of May 15, operators from the 1st Separate Center, the 414th Separate Brigade “Ptakhy Madiara,” and the 413th “Raid” Regiment, acting in coordination with the Special Operations Forces, the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, and other branches of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, reportedly struck the Rosneft-owned Ryazan Oil Refinery. The facility is located more than 500 kilometers from the Ukrainian border and is considered one of the five largest oil refining enterprises in the Russian Federation.

The refinery produces A-92, A-95, A-98, and A-100 gasoline, diesel fuel, jet fuel, liquefied gases, and other petroleum products. On average, the facility manufactures around 840,000 tons of TS-1 aviation kerosene annually, a fuel type used in part by the aerospace forces of the Russian military. Its projected processing capacity exceeds 17 million tons of crude oil per year. The refinery is considered one of the key oil-processing facilities in Russia, with a substantial share of its output intended for export markets.
According to Ukrainian reports, the DeepStrike operation caused multiple explosions and a large fire on the refinery’s premises. The full extent of the damage is still being assessed. Ukrainian drones have targeted the Ryazan refinery on several previous occasions, with such strikes intended to disrupt the opponent’s economic and logistical capabilities.
In addition, the Ukrainian Defense Forces reportedly struck a small missile boat and a minesweeper at the naval base in Kaspiysk. Operators from the 1st Separate SBS Center also reportedly targeted a Pantsir-S1 system in temporarily occupied Crimea, as well as a cargo vessel carrying ammunition in Berdyansk. The same unit is also credited with strikes on a Beriev Be-200 Altair amphibious aircraft and a Kamov Ka-27 helicopter in the city of Yeysk.
Enemy ammunition depots in the areas of Yepifanivka and Rovenky, located in the temporarily occupied part of Luhansk region, were also reportedly struck. In addition, Ukrainian forces targeted a logistics and materiel storage site in Raihorodka in occupied Luhansk region, as well as an electronic warfare equipment depot in Dmytrivka in the occupied part of Donetsk region.
Ukrainian forces also carried out a strike against an FSB coastal technical reconnaissance post in Mariupol, located in the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk region. According to Ukrainian reports, the attack damaged a MR-232 Bussol-S radar station and an associated electro-optical module. In addition, a fuel and lubricants storage facility used by Russian forces in Mariupol was reportedly hit.
