An unidentified unmanned aerial vehicle was detected in close proximity to the aircraft of U.S. President Donald Trump, Air Force One, while it was located at Palm Beach International Airport. The incident reportedly occurred on Sunday, March 29, and was reported by media figure Nick Sortor. According to his post on the social media platform X, helicopters were immediately deployed to identify and track the drone toward the airfield. During the reconnaissance operation and inspection of the surrounding area, a temporary suspension of flight arrivals was implemented at the airport.
In parallel with these events, on March 27, representatives of the defense ministries of Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia issued a joint statement. The document calls for a significant strengthening of air defense systems following a series of incidents involving unauthorized drones detected in their airspace. The defense ministers emphasized that several violations of NATO airspace in the Baltic region by foreign aerial vehicles had been recorded over the course of a week. In addition, according to official statements from Finland, two drones of Ukrainian origin reportedly entered its territory.

The heads of the relevant ministries stated that such incidents highlight the critical need to increase operational readiness and expand investment in the defense sector. The joint statement emphasized that allied countries within NATO should prioritize the rapid modernization of technical systems required for the effective detection and neutralization of similar aerial threats.
