The Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported several successful operations that resulted in the destruction and damage of facilities critical to Russian forces in temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. In particular, Robert “Madyar” Brovdi stated that the 1st Separate Center of Unmanned Systems conducted a strike on a hub used for the storage, assembly, and launch preparation of Shahed/Geran drones at Donetsk Airport on the night of December 30.
According to him, the operation was planned by the intelligence command of the 414th Separate Brigade “Madyar’s Birds” of the Unmanned Systems Forces, in cooperation with the newly established Deep Strike Center of the Unmanned Systems Forces Group. As a result of the effective attack, the following targets were hit:

- A logistics hub housing Russian Geran/Shahed drones
- A pre-flight preparation and maintenance facility for Geran/Shahed and Gerbera unmanned systems
- A central warhead storage facility for Geran/Shahed drones
- An accumulation storage site for Gerbera unmanned systems
In addition, Ukrainian drones struck a concentration area of enemy personnel and technical staff involved in the preparation and pre-launch technical servicing of Geran/Shahed and Gerbera unmanned systems.
“Occupying forces’ tools of terror are being systematically reduced. The destruction of Shahed storage and outfitting hubs, as well as ammunition depots, contributes directly to reducing the threat to civilian life,” the 1st Separate Center of Unmanned Systems stated on its official Facebook page.
In addition, operators of the 1st Separate Center of the Unmanned Systems Forces recently carried out a successful strike on a command post and a deployment site of special operations personnel from Russia’s 14th GRU Special Forces Brigade, along with associated warehouses and a military equipment repair facility. According to Robert “Madyar” Brovdi, Ukrainian drones struck targets in the settlement of Berdianske, located in the temporarily occupied part of Donetsk Oblast. As a result of the operation, more than 120 personnel from the 14th GRU Special Forces Brigade were reported killed or wounded.
- 51 – killed
- 74 – wounded
- A certain number are considered missing in action.
The 14th GRU Brigade of the Russian Armed Forces is a special-purpose unit based in Ussuriysk, tasked with conducting reconnaissance and special operations on behalf of Russia’s military intelligence service. On the same day, reports also emerged of strikes against a Nebo radar system and a deployment site of high-speed landing craft belonging to Russia’s Black Sea Fleet in temporarily occupied Crimea.
