The new Gulfstream G300 business jet officially completed its first flight, the company announced on December 5, 2025. The flight took place in Israel, where Gulfstream, in collaboration with Israel Aerospace Industries, plans to establish production for this model. The prototype took off at 8:05 a.m. from Ben Gurion International Airport and returned approximately two hours later. During the test flight, the G300 reached an altitude of 30,000 feet (9,144 meters) and maintained a speed of Mach 0.75 for about 25 minutes.

Before the start of the flight program, the aircraft underwent a series of ground tests totaling more than 2,000 hours. In the near future, two additional test aircraft are expected to join the program, enabling expanded testing and certification activities.

Gulfstream first introduced the G300 in September 2025 in Savannah. The model is positioned as the successor to the G280 and is intended to replace it within the company’s product lineup. The new jet is equipped with Honeywell HTF7250G engines and is designed to carry ten passengers. Its maximum range is reported at over 3,600 nautical miles (6,667 km) at Mach 0.80. At an increased speed of Mach 0.84, the range is approximately 3,000 nautical miles (5,556 km).

The G300 features the largest cabin in its class and the lowest certified cabin altitude, providing passengers with a level of comfort comparable to sea-level air pressure. The aircraft also includes a plasma-based air purification system, the Harmony Flight Deck, and Gulfstream’s Predictive Landing Performance System, designed to enhance landing safety. Interestingly, the G300 designation has been used by the company before: from 2002 to 2004, it referred to a short-range version of the Gulfstream G-IV, which was later discontinued.

Final assembly of the new G300 will take place at IAI facilities in Israel, after which the aircraft will undergo outfitting at Gulfstream’s production site in Dallas, Texas. This process moves the model into a full flight program, bringing it closer to the start of certification and commercial operations.
