On the night of May 7, 2026, units of the Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out strikes against several key facilities used by Russian occupation forces. According to the statement, Ukrainian drones struck a Project 22800 Karakurt-class small missile ship near the Caspiysk naval base in the city of Caspiysk, Republic of Dagestan.
These vessels are small-displacement missile and artillery ships designed for combat operations in coastal maritime areas and for supporting peacetime missions. The General Staff stated that the ship is capable of launching Kalibr cruise missiles. Information regarding the extent of the damage is still being clarified.

In addition, Ukrainian forces struck an enemy command post in Sosnivka, Luhansk region, as well as a control center for hostile unmanned aerial vehicles near Yasne in the Donetsk region. A munitions depot in Kalmykivka and a fuel and lubricants storage facility used by Russian occupation forces near Smolianynove in the Luhansk region were also targeted. Ukrainian troops further carried out strikes against concentrations of enemy personnel near Dersove in the Donetsk region and Smile in the Zaporizhzhia region.
The Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine also reported operational results. As part of the DeepStrike program, operators from the 1st Separate Center targeted the Lukoil-Permnefteorgsintez oil refinery located in the city of Perm. The facility is considered one of the largest oil refineries in Russia and is classified as a strategic asset within the country’s fuel and energy sector.
According to the Unmanned Systems Forces, the refinery supplies fuel to central regions of Russia, while also fulfilling contracts related to the defense sector and supporting the logistics needs of the Russian armed forces.

The facility produces more than 60 types of products, including gasoline, diesel fuel, lubricants, and sulfur. Its design processing capacity is approximately 13.1 million tonnes of oil per year. Explosions were reportedly heard on the refinery grounds during the attack, and the strikes caused a fire at the site. Further details regarding the extent of the damage are still being clarified.
