During operations aimed at reducing Russian offensive capabilities, Ukrainian Defense Forces carried out a precision strike on the night of January 13 against military-industrial infrastructure in the Russian Federation. The target was the production facilities of Atlant Aero in Taganrog, Rostov Region. The attack was carried out using domestically produced Ukrainian missiles.

Confirmed reports indicate that the facility was successfully hit. Observers recorded a series of powerful explosions and a large-scale fire in the area of the plant. The full extent of the damage is still being assessed, but initial reports suggest that the facility sustained significant destruction.

Україна уразила підприємство з виробництва дронів в Ростовській області

Atlant Aero is a key element of Russia’s military‑industrial complex. The plant carries out a full production cycle – from design to manufacturing and testing – of Molniya strike‑reconnaissance drones, and also produces components for Orion UAVs, which are actively used by occupying forces. Striking this facility reduces the enemy’s capacity to produce unmanned aerial systems and weakens its ability to conduct reconnaissance and strike operations against Ukraine.

The attack on the plant was carried out with the participation of the SBU’s Special Operations Center “Alpha” in cooperation with units of the Naval Forces grouping of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The Security Service of Ukraine emphasized:

“Every production line that is shut down means hundreds of drones that will not fly toward Ukrainian cities, will not kill civilians, and will not destroy homes.”

Taganrog

In addition to the strike on the Taganrog facility, Ukrainian forces targeted multiple enemy positions in temporarily occupied territories during the same night.

In the temporarily occupied areas of Zaporizhzhia Region, Ukrainian units destroyed a Tor surface-to-air missile system near Chereshneve, a Tunguska SAM system near Podsporje, the P‑18‑2 Prima radar station in Lozuvatka, and struck concentrations of enemy personnel in the area of Lyubymivka.

In the temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk Region, an ammunition depot and enemy troop concentrations near Makiivka were hit, along with another Tor SAM system in the settlement of Sonyachne. The results of these strikes are still being confirmed.

The Ukrainian Defense Forces emphasize that they continue systematic efforts to reduce the offensive and military-economic capabilities of the Russian occupation forces.
