To help ward off drone attacks with advanced detection systems, the US government is turning to using SkySafe Drone Detection technology. Yes, SkySafe has won the contract to use its cutting-edge drone detection technology in protecting the US Southern borders. This contract is from Amentum, a global engineering and project management firm, and is a part of the US Department of Defence Information Analysis Center’s (DoD IAC) multiple-award contract (MAC) initiative.

With the integration of its various technologies in the US Southern border, SkySafe will be able to contribute to keeping the region safe. If you aren’t already aware, SkySafe is a firm that focuses on developing technology to help governments manage their airspace. This involves the real-time monitoring, tracking, and identification of drones in the region’s airspace to help point out possible threats.

The SkySafe Drone Detection technology is a Software-as-a-service solution to help monitor the airspace. From herein, the US government will work closely with SkySafe to ensure that they keep their airspace safe. This partnership will see a phase-by-phase rollout to help ensure that the deployment and operation of necessary technology go according to plan.

For this entire contract between SkySafe and the US Department of Defence Information Analysis Center to work out, there is a need for multiple hands on deck. Yes, firms like Amentum, DHS S&T, and CBP will partner with SkySafe to ensure the US Southern border stays safe. This protection will be against possible drone trespass and protection against the smuggling of illicit goods into the US via the Southern border airspace.

Once SkySafe’s drone detection technology spots any trespassing drone, the CBP gets an immediate alert. This will prompt immediate action to neutralize the threat, hence ensuring that the airspace is safe. We hope to get more details on the progress of this contract in the coming months after it gets implemented across the US Southern borders.
