The Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine reported a successful operation carried out by the special unit “Primary”. Their drones reached temporarily occupied Crimea and conducted strikes on two large Russian landing ships.
According to the agency’s press service, the vessels targeted were the Project 775 landing ship Yamal and the Project 1171 landing ship Nikolay Filchenkov, both part of the Russian Black Sea Fleet.
It is reported that at the time of the attack, the vessels were located in Sevastopol Bay and were being used in Russia’s military operations against Ukraine. Both ships are currently assessed as disabled.

The Project 775 large landing ship Yamal was commissioned in 1988. It has a length of 112.5 meters and is capable of carrying up to 500 tons of cargo, including armoured vehicles and landing troops. Its estimated value exceeds approximately $80 million. The Project 1171 large landing ship Nikolay Filchenkov was commissioned in 1975. It has a cargo capacity of up to 1,000 tons, which allows it to transport dozens of armoured vehicles as well as a significant number of personnel. The estimated cost of the vessel is around $70 million.
In addition, the Main Directorate of Intelligence reports that during the operation in temporarily occupied Sevastopol, reconnaissance forces managed to destroy a Russian “Podlyot-K1” radar system. The loss of such a radar complex is estimated to have caused approximately $5 million in damage to the Russian side.
The Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine also reported another successful strike. Operators of the First Separate Center, in coordination with the Special Operations Forces and the Main Intelligence Directorate, carried out an attack on the Tuapse oil refinery.
The facility is considered the most modern plant within the company’s structure. Its major upgrade was completed in 2013, during which an ELOU-AVT-12 crude oil refining unit was installed. It is reported to have a processing capacity of up to 12 million tons of oil per year.
Following the previous strike on the oil refinery on April 16, a fire broke out and continued for several days. After Ukrainian drones reportedly struck the facility again, hitting the tank storage area, the fire intensified and developed further. The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is currently clarifying the full extent of the damage.
In addition, the “Hvardiiska” fuel depot located in temporarily occupied Crimea was also reportedly hit. The General Staff stated that strikes on these facilities reduce the capacity to supply fuel to military units.

Among other targets, Ukrainian drones reportedly struck enemy ammunition depots in the areas of the settlements of Urzuf (temporarily occupied territory of Donetsk region) and Loknia (Belgorod region of the Russian Federation), as well as a UAV storage site near Nova Karakuba and a command-and-observation post near Blahodatne in the Donetsk region.
