Today, Russian forces lost another Su-34 fighter-bomber in the Zaporizhzhia region. According to the official Facebook page of the Ukrainian Air Forces Command, the aircraft was shot down around 4 a.m. Reports indicate that this Su-34 was carrying out attacks on the city of Zaporizhzhia using guided bombs.

The Ukrainian Air Forces Command report also notes that on the night of September 25, Russian forces launched attacks on Ukrainian cities using 176 strike drones, including Shahed and Gerbera models. Around 100 of these were Shahed drones. The attacks originated both from Russian territory (Kursk, Oryol, Millerovo, Primorsko-Akhtarsk) and from temporarily occupied areas of Crimea (Chauda).

To repel the attacks, Ukraine deployed aviation, anti-aircraft missile units, electronic warfare and drone units, as well as mobile fire teams of the Defense Forces. Preliminary data as of 8:30 a.m. on September 25 indicate that air defense forces intercepted or suppressed 150 enemy drones across northern, southern, eastern, and central regions. Unfortunately, 13 strike drones hit eight locations, and debris fell in one additional area.

Operators of the Ukrainian Defense Intelligence “Phantoms” unit also reported on the results of a successful operation. They are continuing a gradual campaign to destroy high-value targets that Russian forces have positioned in temporarily occupied areas of Crimea.

During a raid on the peninsula, Ukrainian Defense Intelligence special forces destroyed two Russian An-26 transport aircraft. In addition, an enemy surface surveillance radar station and a coastal radar system, the MR-10M1 “Mys M1,” were also targeted.
