On Sunday, November 10, Supernova Airlines completed its first cargo charter flight using its own Boeing 737-800, flying from Budapest to Chișinău. This was announced by Nova Post’s press service.

The press release noted that the flight enabled the testing and synchronization of procedures for delivering shipments to recipients in Moldova. The flight was commissioned by Nova Global. The next step for Supernova Airlines will be to test cargo transit to Ukraine using road transport.

Nova Post states that Supernova Airlines plans to expand its route network and gradually increase flight frequency to meet the needs of both NOVA Group companies (Nova Post) and external clients. The airline is preparing to launch regular flights to the United States, holds an operator certificate issued by the State Aviation Administration of Ukraine (SAAU), and recently received authorization from the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) to operate flights within Europe (Part-TCO). This certification, required for non-European airlines, enables the company to conduct commercial flights within EU airspace. Final preparations for these operations are currently underway.

The strategic goal of the airline is to establish long-haul routes from the United States to Europe and from China to Europe, while also being prepared to operate charter flights for external clients as permitted by the capabilities of the Boeing 737-800SF. The process of obtaining operational permits for flights to the United States is currently underway as well.
