Ukraine has begun mass production of the “Peklo” rocket drone, according to an announcement on the official website of President Volodymyr Zelensky. Today, he was present during the handover of the first batch of these rockets to the Defense Forces. It is noted that this new Ukrainian development has already been confirmed in combat operations.

“It is very important that our defenders are receiving such modern weapons of Ukrainian production,” said Volodymyr Zelensky. “Now the task is to further increase their production and use. I thank everyone involved in our defense manufacturing, whose contribution helps Ukraine fight.”

The official website of the President of Ukraine also reports that the “Peklo” rocket drone has a flight range of up to 700 km and can reach speeds of up to 700 km/h. However, for security reasons, other technical specifications of the Ukrainian rocket drone are not disclosed. The number of units delivered is also kept secret. Earlier, the President had mentioned that these rocket drones represent a completely new type of weapon. According to Ukrinform, event participants emphasized that, in terms of effectiveness, the Ukrainian rocket drones are on par with certain types of Russian cruise missiles, yet the Ukrainian development is significantly cheaper.

The first batch of rockets was delivered on December 6, Ukraine’s Armed Forces Day. On this occasion, Volodymyr Zelensky congratulated Ukrainian soldiers, honored them with state awards, presented battle flags, ribbons for distinguished honors, and bestowed honorary titles upon brigades and higher military ranks.

On December 5, Ukraine’s Minister of Defence, Rustem Umierov, announced on his Facebook page that Ukrainian military forces will receive over 30,000 DeepStrike attack drones by 2025. Some of these drones were funded by Ukraine’s international partners through investments in the Ukrainian defense industry. According to Umierov, these next-generation drones are capable of operating autonomously over long distances and striking enemy targets with high precision.

He added that the Ministry of Defence continues to increase investments in the development of high-tech systems to meet the needs of the front, support the defense industry, create jobs, and advance Ukrainian technologies. Through these efforts, Ukraine is demonstrating its capability for innovation and technological independence, even in the midst of war.
