The Ukrainian military technology development cluster Brave1 announced a new unique creation: a drone equipped with AI technology that assists in destroying enemy targets at distances exceeding 50 km.
According to Brave1 representatives on their Facebook page, many defense innovations in Ukraine originate directly from the frontline, driven by the practical needs and ideas of military engineers and developers. This is precisely how the “Pavuk Dophin” came to be. The story of this unique system began in the R\&D laboratories of the 3rd Attack Brigade.
“Dophin is the gaming nickname of a fallen comrade of the developers,” the statement reads. “The drone was created in his honor and is already delivering strikes against enemies at distances over 50 km.”
The project is the result of a collaboration between engineers from the 3rd Attack Brigade and the company Omnitech, with the Brave1 cluster handling the system’s codification and paving the way for its widespread deployment in the armed forces. According to reports, the “Pavuk Dophin” surpasses most foreign counterparts in key specifications. Thanks to artificial intelligence algorithms, it can autonomously secure itself in terrain, maintaining a stable and protected communication channel even in challenging conditions.
Its main role is to provide uninterrupted communication for strike drones operating deep within enemy territory. With the help of the “Pavuk,” Ukrainian drones are able to appear where the enemy least expects them. The 3rd Brigade has already successfully used the “Pavuk Dophin” to take out anti-aircraft missile systems, logistics hubs, and other critical targets.
This development is another example of how Ukrainian engineers are scaling advanced technologies to increase losses for the enemy.
It was recently announced that in September, Lviv will host an investment event organized by Brave1 and the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine. The event will bring together experts and leaders from the defense tech sector, military personnel, investors from Ukraine and around the world, as well as anyone interested in exploring innovations that are already protecting democracy and shaping the future of global defense. Over 5,000 participants from more than 40 countries are expected to attend.
